Abstract
Glomus tumor is uncommon tumor with an incidence of about 1.6% among soft tissue tumors and the sin-gle most common location is the subungual region of the finger and the subcutaneous tissue of the fingertips or the palm. Generally, it is a small
and encapsulated tumor, derived from the arteriovenous glomi and characterized by very sharp pain. Pain is not continuous but reawakened or accentuated by pressure, at times by vasomotorial changes connected with changes in temperature, emotional
state, and menstruation. Many reports have emphasized that glomus tumor were difficult to diagnose and the result of surgical removal was good. Glomus tumor adjacent to patellar tendon is very rare and we could find only a few cases on review of the
literature. We also experienced one case of glomus tumor adjacent to patellar tendon, and report with review of the literature.
